Inaugural Grant Applications Due Today

CALLING ALL TEACHERS, ARTISTS, WRITERS, PERFORMERS, POETS, MUSICIANS, ENTREPRENEURS:

Do you have a creative idea, curriculum, art project, event, etc. for Chicago’s Bronzeville community?  Could you benefit from funding to help you?  If so, please consider submitting a grant application for “Saturday Sweets,” a micro-grants program supporting creative projects in Chicago.

The project grant application is available online, and interested applicants are encouraged to review the Application page on our website for more information.

The deadline for submitting “Saturday Sweets” project grant applications for our inaugural grant distribution is today, Friday, February 15, 2013 by 5:00 p.m. CST.

Please keep in mind that all 2013 “Saturday Sweets” grant distribution efforts are focused on creative projects that are:

  • Initiated by artists/artist groups from the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago, and
  • Directly collaborate with Bronzeville area schools, non-profit organizations, institutions, churches, businesses, resident groups, etc.

Please submit applications for relevant creative projects by today, help us spread the word about this amazing grassroots funding opportunity, and join us at our first “Saturday Sweets” grant distribution event on Saturday, February 23, 2013 (location and time TBD).
