February Grant Distribution Postponed

In order to garner increased interest in Saturday Sweets, the Revival Arts Collective will postpone the February grant distribution until our next scheduled event in April.  We apologize to our supporters and interested applicants for delaying the process, however, we hope that additional time will help birth the community-building experience we have envisioned for Saturday Sweets.

Per our posted grant calendar, the next deadline for submitting Saturday Sweets project grant applications is Friday, April 12, 2013 by 5:00 p.m. CST.

In the meantime, we’ll work to promote Saturday Sweets as widely as possible, and we request your help in this effort.  Artists, teachers, writers, performers, poets, musicians, and entrepreneurs that have a creative idea, curriculum, art project, event, etc. for Chicago’s Bronzeville community are encouraged to submit a grant application.  We know everyone can benefit from funding for their ideas – why not give Saturday Sweets a shot?

The project grant application is available online, and interested applicants are encouraged to review the Application page on our website for more information.

Please keep in mind that all 2013 Saturday Sweets grant distribution efforts are focused on creative projects that are:

  • Initiated by artists/artist groups from the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago, and
  • Directly collaborate with Bronzeville area schools, non-profit organizations, institutions, churches, businesses, resident groups, etc.

Please submit applications for relevant creative projects by the April deadline, help us spread the word about this amazing grassroots funding opportunity, and join us at our first Saturday Sweets grant distribution event on Saturday, April 27, 2013 (location and time TBD).

Thanks for your patience, interest, and support, and we’ll see you in April!
